been a while..

well it has been a while since ive been on here. that seems to be common for me at the moment. i now have a new sewing/craft station downstairs in the garage. so lots of creative activity going on at the moment.
recently i was surfing pinterest and can accross a gorgeous hair clip holder made out of a picture frame(minus the glass and backing, so just the frame). so i was looking for something else this morning and found a pretty pink ikea frame (i think it cost me around $2)and i thought "you beauty! that will be prefect!" so this afternoon i get out my ribbons and thumb tacks. long story i brought a staple gun but cant find where i put it, so i improvised and used thumb tacks. and got to work.

and this is the finished product...

krazy house indeed

well howdy, long time no post. sorry to say my cards have been put on the back burner lately and my sewing machine has been getting a work out. I first dug my sewing machine out to make some dolls clothes for Miss B, and she just keeps on adding to my projects. anyway i was surfing the wonderful sew much ado blog last night when i came accross this wonderful tutorial for a crayon roll. WHAT A FANTASTIC GIFT IDEA!!!

so i had a few scraps laying around and decided to give it a crack. this is also my first time in entering anything on the sew much ado's "we made it Wednesday"

this was the first one i did

then Mr J put his order in, so lucky i had some lightning mcqueen scraps left over from his laundry hamper and his pillowcase.

and thirdly, Miss B is turning 5 in a little over 4 weeks and i thought what a wonderful idea for a girly party bag filler, so i shortened the pattern and used 6 little pencils and added a ribbon to tie it up (i hate sewing buttons on)

take care all, and happy sewing

xxxx Kristin

SSSC78

I'm still trying to find my craetive mojo this week, but I came up with this beautiful bubbling Tilda for this weeks sweet sunday sketch challenge. I have coloured Tilda with my Stampin' write markers and used some crystal effects on the bubbles and some glitter on her wings. I turned this weeks sketch on its side, so it looks like Tilda is in a flower garden. i couldn't find a sentiment to go with it, so i have left the outside blank, but i know a perfect little princess fairy who will love this for her birthday.

my AnnaBelle flowers and gypsy sprinkles.

Hoot Hoot Hooray

A cute little party owl

a close up of googly eyed owl and his party balloon which i used crystal effects on and teh googly eyes i got from a $2 shop.

ABSC024 & JAI #22

This is my entry in this weeks Annabelle's sketch challenge. I have used the colours from this weeks Just Add Ink challenge. They were Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise and Kiwi Kiss. I started off with the sketch and then when it came time to stamp the image i couldn't shake this adorable frog from my head, thanks to my gorgeous little girl Breanna and her new craze "Princess Tiana from Disney's new movie, A princess and a frog". i think in less than 24 hours the movie has been on about 5 times.
Thank you for looking, and I hope you all have a great day.

And here is a close up view.

and here is the sketch challenge from Annabelle's

Method
Stamps - Whimsical words, A flower for all seasons
Ink - Rich razzleberry, Staz on black
Paper - Rich razzleberry, Whisper white, Tempting turquoise, Kiwi kiss
Accessories - Stampin' write markers, blender pen, quickie glue pen, annabelle's pearls

A little behind

Here is a card i did a few weeks ago. things have been a tad busy here lately and sadly it has been my cards that have been put aside, but hopefully that will change now and i will be able to get back into it. I did this card using some of my new Annabelle products. I can't say enough how much i love the sprinkles from AnnaBelles.

Here is a close up of my card

And finally this is the whole reason why i have been a tad slack in the card department. this beautiful cake was for my Daughter, Breanna's 4th birthday on Saturday. it painstakingly took me 2 weeks to make all the roses by hand, But well worth it in the end. Princess Breanna had a wonderful day.
